Megan Dietrich

Over the years, I’ve worked in crisis counseling, addiction recovery, and alongside global aid workers and individuals impacted by human trafficking.

Hi, I’m Megan, a mental health coach here at Two Purple Carrots.

I’m also someone who deeply understands what it’s like to live with chronic illness. In 2018, I found myself bedbound, exhausted, and desperate for help. It took over a year and a long list of doctors and specialists to finally be diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and nervous system dysfunction. I was also navigating PTSD at the time and often too scared to leave my house. It was a season of profound disorientation and grief: for the life I had known, the identity I had built, and the energy I once had.

What helped me slowly come back to myself was a combination of trauma therapy, coaching, and functional health support. And let’s be honest, I’ve tried it all. Enemas? Check. Endless tests? Check. Fads, protocols, supplements with 16-step instructions? Also check. Like many of you, my healing journey has been full of trial and error, hope and heartbreak and slowly, over time, finding what truly works for me. I began to heal not by “overcoming” illness, but by learning to be in relationship with both my body and my story in a new way. That journey is what fuels my passion for walking alongside other women navigating similar terrain.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting people through trauma, chronic illness, burnout, and major life transitions. I believe true healing involves the whole person (body, mind, spirit, and soul) and I’m honored to be part of a clinic that embraces this integrative approach. I also know how powerful it can be to work with someone who truly understands the lived experience of chronic illness.

Over the years, I’ve worked in crisis counseling, addiction recovery, and alongside global aid workers and individuals impacted by human trafficking. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the complex realities we face as humans and taught me how to sit with deep pain, grief, and uncertainty without turning away. I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients can exhale, soften their guard, and begin to rediscover a sense of safety within themselves and the world around them.

At the heart of my work is a simple but profound belief: healing isn’t about pushing through or performing wellness. It’s about creating space to exhale. To feel. To listen to your body. To come home to yourself and rebuild a life that truly honors who you are and what you need.

In our work together, I hold space for both the physical and emotional layers of healing. Whether it’s grief, fear, pain, or patterns of self-abandonment, we can explore and gently tend to what’s underneath. I offer approaches like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and the Safe and Sound Protocol, alongside somatic practices, parts work, and nervous system education to support this deeper integration. My approach is gentle, grounded, and spacious, offering both practical tools and deep care.

If you're living with chronic illness and longing for a more compassionate way forward, you’re not alone. I’d be honored to walk with you in this season.
